SOMER N. TAYLOR
ASSOCIATE WEALTH ADVISOR
Before joining Alia, Somer worked with Memphis-based Hal Otey Financial, starting out as the firm’s director of first impressions and later serving as director of client services and associate wealth advisor. Never one to turn away from hard, focused work, Somer also served in the U.S. Army as an air traffic control specialist, monitoring and directing the movement of aircraft on the ground and in the air. She traveled throughout Texas, Alabama and South Korea, and did a tour in Afghanistan. Previously, Somer was an administrative assistant to Institutional Advancement at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas. She earned her Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Arkansas—Fort Smith.
PERSONAL BIO
I owe a great deal to my time in the Army for helping me grow as a person and a professional. After getting out of the Army, I started working on my degree. After a few years and life changes, I was looking for work in the Memphis area and found a home in the financial services industry. Providing clients the confidence they need to live their life and enjoy the things that matter most to them is what I strive to do.
My favorite season is summer! Concerts, camping trips, swimming at the lake, family barbecues and traveling are just some of my favorite things. I am from West Memphis, Arkansas, and that is where most of my family is as well. I’m most thankful for my husband, Jarrad, and our four sons Joseph, Benjamin, Brennan and Jeremiah.
