THE ALIA PROCESS
GETTING TO KNOW YOU.
Alia’s simple five-phase investment process builds and maintains a comprehensive investment plan that is aimed toward meeting your long-term financial objectives.
-
UNDERSTAND EXPECTATIONS
This is the time we take to get to know one another. But mostly, it’s all about you. What’s your wish list for retirement, your intentions for loved ones? We work closely with you to define your objectives, financial needs and risk tolerance.
-
DEVELOP A STRATEGY FOR SUCCESS
Now that we have established defined objectives, we will decide on a combination of diversified investments to help you work toward your overarching financial goals. From this, we will create an investment profile to help guide future decisions about your account.
-
ANALYZE ALTERNATIVES
Next, we will determine which actual investment vehicles are suited to your investment profile based on how they correspond to your assets, debts, expenses, income, tax situation, insurance coverage and more.
-
REVIEW OPTIONS
We will share with you specific investment options consistent with the asset allocation we’ve proposed. We will also discuss other available options to help you understand why we recommend the investments we selected for you.
-
ASSESS PROGRESS
As your personal and financial situations evolve, we will help make adjustments to your portfolio to ensure you continually remain right on track toward reaching your goals.
FAQS

Having a trusted sounding board can help you take charge of your decision-making, rather than simply reacting when major changes, like a first job, marriage, children or unexpected inheritance occur. When you’re forced to react to unexpected financial challenges, rather than planning ahead, your choices become limited. A financial advisor is someone who can help you look beyond your immediate needs and emotions to help you proactively build a strong financial future.
Here are other reasons why it’s smart to work with a financial advisor:
They keep you on track with your investing plan. Seventy percent of those who work with a financial advisor are on track or ahead in saving for retirement, compared to 33% of those who don’t use an advisor. (John Hancock survey)
They do more than invest your money. They can also work with you and your other advisors on tax, estate and long-term planning.
Even the pros seek help. It’s always wise to know your strengths and weaknesses and seek out resources that will shore up those weaknesses, especially when it comes to your finances, investment planning and retirement. Look at it this way: You get a consultation for surgery, auto repair, even for a home interior remodel. Growing your wealth should be at the top of the list.
You don’t have time. We get it. Daily life can get in the way. Work and family keep us busy, often thinking just far enough to get dinner plans together. Needless to say, financial planning may not be top of mind. But it is for us at Alia Wealth. Because it’s what we do. We’re knee-deep in resources, charts, investments, forecasts, and more, all day, every day–and we will save you time, stress and confusion, enabling you to confidently focus on investing in your life.

Many people think my job is mostly about the financial side. To me, it is about relationships and helping people. I try to get to know the person before learning about their financial situation. If I know what their goals are, the money will follow. That’s why we work with clients a little differently, discussing more of the emotional aspects, and we’re not afraid to ask questions that others may not ask.

Not at all. In fact, several Alia clients live out of state or in Memphis for only part of the year. That includes family members who also might be involved in the planning process but live out of state or are unable to attend in-person meetings. Much of our financial paperwork can be handled electronically too. If you live in or near Memphis, or prefer to meet in person, that’s a bonus. We love meeting with our clients in person.

Our initial meeting is complimentary, as it’s a good way to open the doors, so to speak, and get to know one another. It’s also a way to decide if Alia is the right fit for you.
The goal of our first meeting is to learn more about your personal situation, identify your dreams and goals, and understand your tolerance for risk. It’s also a chance for you to ask us any questions you might have.
Whether it’s a first meeting or an ongoing advisory relationship, our priority at Alia is to help you take care of yourself and your family. Long-term relationships that encourage open and honest communication have been the cornerstone of our success.

In 2021, Alia Wealth Partners joined LPL Financial’s broker-dealer, corporate registered investment advisor and custodial platforms. LPL Financial is the custodian for our clients’ assets.
LPL Financial is a Fortune 500 company, serving more than 21,000 financial professionals with over $1 trillion in brokerage and advisory client assets. It has over $200 million of excess cash and modest leverage below its conservative management targets. This financial strength positions LPL Financial with ample capacity to allocate capital across a flexible framework, which prioritizes investments to improve its value proposition for advisors and their clients.
LPL Financial also is a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member firm subject to the federal securities laws and the rules of industry self-regulatory organizations. This requires LPL to protect client assets with the utmost care and adhere to financial protection rules.
LPL accounts have additional securities protection to cover the net equity of client accounts up to an overall aggregate firm limit of $750M. This coverage is underwritten by Lloyds of London syndicates.
